Javad A. Mirzai, DMD

Senior Clinical Director/Owner

Javad A. Mirzai, DMD, received his degree from University of New England college of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mirzai has clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment planning, preventative care, as well as restorative and prosthodontic dentistry. Dr. Mirzai believes the responsibility of a dentist is to educate and guide patients so they can make their own decisions on oral health care. During his comprehensive dental exams Dr. Mirzai explains the how and why, ensuring each patient gains a comprehensive understanding of his or her dental health needs.  Dr. Mirzai is very detail oriented in all aspects of patient care, he has an innate sense of aesthetics and artistry that he brings to each procedure. 

Dr. Mirzai completed B.A.s in Biology and Middle Eastern Studies at Brandeis university. During this time, he conducted Extensive research on the field of genetics and its correlations with cancer alongside his professors at Brandeis university. Resulting in his senior’s honors thesis.

Dr. Mirzai is Affiliated with numerous organizations, Dr. Mirzai is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry, American Student Dental Association (ASDA), and Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS).

When not in the office, Dr. Mirzai loves spending time with family and friends, He loves traveling, playing sports, photography, and reading. He also enjoys watching and supporting all Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots. 

Julie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Julie is a 1997 graduate of the Quinsigamond Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She has been with Athol Dental Associates since 2005. Julie has experience with all ages as well as with special needs patients.  With her easy-going, calm personality, her focus is to put patients at ease and take the time to explain each patient’s treatment needs. In her spare time Julie enjoys being with her children and family.

Lisa

Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from The Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 2016. Her passion for dental hygiene grew immensely when she began interning at her local dental office in 2013. She believes it is her job to deliver compassionate, ethical and complete oral health care to all of her patients. Lisa carries an open-heart that allows her to connect with her patients and create a welcoming environment. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, and long walks on the beach.

Jessica

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessica is a 2009 Graduate and Class President of Mount Wachusett Community College with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. She believes strongly in helping to alleviate her patients dental fears by use of patient education and providing high quality, gentle care. Jessica enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a comfortable environment for them to talk and ask questions.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and children (and dog too!). She also likes cooking, baking and trying new restaurants and foods.
